Testifire TS3 Smoke Capsules, Pack of 3 or 6

Testifire generates its non toxic smoke stimulus from a specially formulated, fluid supplied in a replaceable non pressurised capsule. The number of tests from a capsule is dictated by the response time of the detectors under test and can range between 500 and 1,000 tests. Although there is much more to the comparison than material cost, typically this equates to between two and five times that produced by an aerosol.

    Features

    • Suitable for single or multi-sensor detectors, point, or aspirating (ASD)
    • Compatable with Testifire 1001 & 2001 test heads
    • Non-hazardous, environmentally friendly test

    Frequently Asked Questions

How many activations you would expect to complete with a single Testifire smoke capsule?

The number of tests per Testifire smoke capsule (TS3) depends on several factors. The main factor is detector time to alarm. Our records show that an average time to alarm is about 18 seconds. With a typical detector time to alarm of around 18 seconds, up to 700 tests should be possible from one a single TS3 capsule. Some customers have achieved over 900 tests when working with an average time to alarm of less than 10 seconds.

Other factors that also come into play are the speed of any air flow around the detector and, of course, the condition and contamination level of the detector.
