The unit is ideal for clean environments, such as hospitals, where it’s no-touch feature prevents the spread of germs. The button itself is mounted on a single gang-sized plate, so it can easily be retrofitted. The NT200 has an illuminated round button that changes from red to green when activated as shown. The unit has an adjustable proximity range. As demonstrated here, the read range is 25 mil. However, this can easily be adjusted by turning a part on the rear of the unit, which increases the read range to 100 mil. The NT200 can operate at either 12 or 24 volt DC, and the changeover contact is rated at 1 amp. The unit can be supplied either flush or surface mount and can also be incorporated on a dual unit backbox with a break glass unit, as shown here with a CP22, a resettable double pole break glass. The unit also has an adjustable door opening time that is again easily changed by turning a part on the rear of the unit. The opening time can be adjusted to between 0.5 and 20 seconds. The stainless steel plate can be custom printed with different wording and can also incorporate a company logo, telephone number, or website address.
