Orbis Marine Conventional Fire Detectors offer a multitude of features to save time, enhance reliability and reduce false alarms within the marine environment.

Like all of the Orbis range of smoke and heat detectors, the Orbis Marine Optical Smoke Detector is approved for use in marine applications. Orbis Marine products operate in the same way as standard devices but are subject to additional approvals and tests specific to the marine environment.

The Orbis Marine Smoke Detector operates on the well-established light scatter principle. The sensing technology is dramatically different in design to previous light scatter sensors making the Orbis Marine Optical Smoke Detector highly reliable in smoke detection but much less likely to generate false alarms.

Please note, all Orbis Marine Detectors require an Orbis Marine Base in order to be mounted.
