Aspirating Smoke Detection

Aspirating Smoke Detection (ASD) uses a network of pipes with discrete sampling points located in the areas to be protected. These are connected to a central detection unit which continually draws air through these pipes, The air is filtered to remove any contaminants which could cause false alarms, meaning they can be used in dirty environments if designed correctly. Unlike Passive smoke detection. ASD systems can detect smoke before it is visible, meaning that they are a great choice for when you require the earliest form of detection.
