As a specialist fire detection distributor we pride ourselves on offering value added services meaning we do more than simply shift boxes. In the case of the Zerio Plus wireless system our customers benefit from a complementary pre-programming service.
How does this work?
Upon ordering a Zerio Plus system our customers are sent a pre-programming sheet which lists the exact breakdown of devices included in their system. The zone and description for each device is completed by the customer before returning this to us.
One of our manufacturer trained engineers then learns each device onto the Zerio Plus panel and programs the above details for each. This information is then printed onto a label allowing our customers to clearly identify each device location for citing.
Any required ancillary equipment, including radio booters, are also programmed onto the main panel.
Benefits of pre-programming
The primary benefit is valuable time saved on site. A significant advantage wireless systems have over their hardwired counterparts is speed of installation. This is further accelerated with this programming service and really does mean installation is little more than the devices being fixed to their locations.
Whilst the headline is time saved on site there are also some other fringe benefits. During the programming process all devices are naturally powered up which provides an opportunity to prove each function correctly. Our customers can arrive on site feeling confident all of their equipment is fault free.
