Infinity ID2 Trained Installer online course

Comprehensive training on life safety systems is paramount. Delivering this training safely and effectively is however challenging given the obstacles posed by the current pandemic. It is therefore pleasing for us to announce our partner Zeta Alarms are launching a series of online training courses over the coming months.

The first of which is the Infinity ID2 Trained Installer course where users will gain a thorough understanding of the ID2 system. The two hour course is delivered completely online and runs through every aspect of the system. A live demonstration of the panel, menus and functionality is also included.

We are encouraging both installers who are interested in using the system in the future and existing ID2 installers who want to refresh their knowledge to book their places.

Once completed all attendees will receive a certificate of competence along with high-resolution versions of the Infinity ID2 Trained Installer logo. This logo can be used on any marketing channels including website, clothing, van livery, etc.

What does the course cover

Each training session lasts approximately two hours and covers the following topics;

  1. Introductions.
  2. Overview of panel and component parts including repeater.
  3. Menu structure for both user and engineer levels (explaining all menu functions).
  4. Device types and coding.
  5. Powering up and setting up for the first time.
  6. Basic fault finding (e.g. zoning errors etc).
  7. Q&A.

What is the Infinity ID2

Since launching in 2013 the Infinity ID2 has quickly become the gold standard for 2-wire fire alarm systems.

It is a truly intelligent solution which allows smaller installations, which may otherwise be protected by a conventional or standard 2-wire system, to benefit from features only available with addressable systems. For such installations an addressable system maybe ruled out due to one or more of the following;

  • Budget constraints.
  • Site must utilise existing radial wiring.
  • Technical barriers such as programming, software, leads, etc.

The ID2 overcomes each of the above and during this training course system designers and installers will learn why the ID2 is the ideal and possible only solution.
