The Apollo Series 65 12V DC Relay Base is a low-profile base for use with all Apollo Series 65 detectors – from ionisation smoke detectors to static heat detectors.
Designed for use with both fire alarm (latching) and security (non-latching) systems, this detector relay base has been manufactured to operate over a voltage of 9V to 15V DC and is primarily intended for use with control units using 4-wire detector supply and alarm initiating circuits.
The relay base is operated by the detector and therefore must only be used with Apollo Series 65 smoke or heat detectors.
Detectors are fitted to the base using an easy clockwise rotation that requires minimal force – this is particularly useful if the detector is to be fitted somewhere like a suspended ceiling. Please note that this base is not suitable for use in systems where operation of the auxiliary system must be fail-safe.
