Marine Series 65 Mounted UV Flame Detector

The Marine Series 65 Base Mounted UV Flame Detector is designed to protect internal areas where flaming fires might be expected, detecting UV radiation that is emitted by flames. As the UV flame detector is sensitive only to UV radiation from the flame the Flame Detector responds even to stationary flames with no flicker such as cigarette lighters and blue gas flames.

The detector is designed to respond to all UV radiation emitted by almost all flames including those that are invisible to the naked eye such as hydrogen fires.

UV Flame Detectors are designed for use in enclosed areas and require a clear line of sight within the area to be protected. They are unaffected by draughts or convection currents.

The Marine Series 65 Mounted UV Flame Detector can be mounted using any Series 65 base and is most comonly mounted using the Apollo Series 65 Standard Base.
