The Fyreye common base is used on systems that don't need to keep line integrity on head removal, and also on addressable systems.

The Fyreye diode base is used on systems that do need line integrity on head removal.  This would include all conventional systems that mix detectors & call points on the same line.

The Fyreye Extra range of conventional detectors have an extra LED to improve detector identification in an alarm condition. The 2 LEDs allow an alarm to be observed from all angles.

The rate of rise detector uses a thermistor arrangement to sense a quick rise in temperature, and also a final threshold temperature of 57°C.
